Safe Housing
Supported accommodation that gives women, children and families a calm, safe place to recover and rebuild — with key workers, life skills and a clear pathway to independence. Every woman deserves to feel safe at home.
Each programme is shaped by the people we serve in Malawi. Together, they form a holistic safety net — from the first night of crisis to long-term flourishing. Mary Theu Foundation walks with survivors every step of the way.
Supported accommodation that gives women, children and families a calm, safe place to recover and rebuild — with key workers, life skills and a clear pathway to independence. Every woman deserves to feel safe at home.
Counselling, parenting support and practical help that strengthens family bonds and prevents crisis from tearing them apart. Our family support workers are trained in trauma-informed care within the Malawian cultural context.
Mentorship, vocational training, financial literacy and confidence-building groups designed to help women step into a future of their own choosing. We believe economic independence is the foundation of lasting freedom.
Bursaries, school uniforms, stationery, after-school clubs and tuition for children and young people in our care — opening doors that poverty and upheaval often close. Every child deserves to learn in safety.
Rapid-response support — food, hygiene packs, shelter and transport — when families face their hardest days. Our emergency team can be mobilised quickly to meet survivors at the point of crisis.
Local events, awareness campaigns, community training and partnerships that knit Lilongwe closer together and make domestic abuse less hidden and less tolerated. Lasting change requires the whole community.
Whether you are a survivor seeking support, a donor, or a partner organisation — Mary Theu Foundation is here for you.
